# How to Manage Vultr Trusted Device Security

Trusted device security adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring email verification every time you sign in from an unknown device. This feature is important if you've not enabled two-factor authentication for your account.

Follow this guide to manage trusted device security using the Vultr Console.

1. Navigate to **Account** and select **Authentication** under **General**.
1. Click **Enable Trusted Device Security**.

You'll now be prompted to enter an authorization code from your email every time you log in to your Vultr account from an unknown device. To turn off trusted device security, click **Disable Trusted Device Security**.

1. Visit the [Vultr Console](https://console.vultr.com/), enter your login credentials, and click **Log in**.

1. Enter the authorization code sent to your email address and click **Authenticate**.
