# How to Connect to a Vultr VX1™ Cloud Compute Instance Using the Vultr Console

Vultr Console is a web-based noVNC terminal that provides direct access to your instance. You can run commands, manage services, and troubleshoot configuration issues even if SSH is unavailable. The console also supports features like clipboard sharing, a virtual keyboard, and special key combinations such as `CTRL`+`ALT`+`DEL`.

Follow this guide to connect to a Vultr VX1™ Cloud Compute instance using the Vultr Console.

> Enable pop-ups in your web browser settings to access the Vultr Console.

1. Open your instance's management page.
1. Find the default credentials in the **Overview** tab and copy the user password to your clipboard.
1. Find and click **View Console** on the top-right navigation menu to open the Vultr Console.
1. Enter your default username and press **ENTER** when prompted.
1. Find and click **Send Clipboard** on the list of control bar options to paste the user password in your Vultr Console session.
1. Press **ENTER** to log in to the instance.
