# How to Manage Vultr Managed Database for PostgreSQL Configuration Options

PostgreSQL configuration options allow you to fine-tune database settings that affect performance, resource usage, security, logging, and more. 

Follow this guide to manage Vultr Managed Database for PostgreSQL configuration options with Vultr Console.

    1. Navigate to **Products** and select **Databases**.
    1. Click the target database instance.
    1. Navigate to **Settings** and click **Advanced Configuration**.
    1. Select a configuration parameter, add a value, and click **Submit**.
    1. Edit the configuration parameter value by clicking **Edit**.
