# How to Manage Buckets for Vultr Object Storage Subscription

Buckets for Vultr Object Storage subscriptions are containers for storing objects using the simple storage service (S3) protocol. You can create folders and upload files into buckets when storing business assets such as images, videos, audio, and application files.

Follow this guide to manage buckets for Vultr Object Storage subscription using the Vultr Console.

1. Navigate to **Products** and select **Cloud Storage**.
1. Click **Object Storage** and select the target Vultr Object Storage subscription.
1. Navigate to **Buckets** and click **Create Bucket**.
1. Enter the bucket name and follow the naming conventions.
1. Turn **Bucket Versioning** **ON** or **OFF** depending on your application use case.
1. Turn the object lock **ON** or **OFF** and click **Create Bucket**.
1. Click **Add Folder** to link a new folder to the bucket.
1. Click the delete icon to delete the bucket from the Vultr Object Storage subscription.
