How to Publish a Build

Publish a Vultr Marketplace application build using the Vultr Console or Vultr API to make the new image version available for your customers to deploy.

Marketplace apps can have multiple builds attached for testing purposes, but only one build can be the Live build, which is the version customers deploy. Builds in Not Live status are not visible to the public.

This guide explains how to publish a build using the Vultr Console or the Vultr API.

Click Marketplace in the Vultr Console's left-hand menu.
Click the application name to open the Edit App screen.
Click the Builds tab.
Click the Version link on the build. Enter a version number to identify this image. The Status displays Not Live.
Click the Actions icon.
Choose an action:
- Publish Image: Set the image to Live status. Verify that the build's Status displays Live.
- Deploy Image: Test an image deployment before publishing it in Live status. Test your image before making the app public.
To choose a different Live version, use the Actions icon to unpublish the current Live image first.
