Test a Vultr Marketplace application image by deploying it to an instance before publishing to verify provisioning scripts and variables work correctly.
Testing an image lets you deploy a build before marking it Live or making the app public.
This guide explains how to test an image using the Vultr Console.
Click Marketplace in the Vultr Console's left-hand menu.
Click the application name to open the Edit App screen.
Click the Builds tab.
Select the actions menu on the build you want to test and choose Deploy Image.
The Vultr Console redirects you to the deployment page with your private image selected and shows your version number in the app selection. For example, if your app is named "Debian 10 Test" and you set the version to "Internal Test 3", you see this selected on the deployment page:
