How to Connect to a Vultr Bare Metal Instance using the Vultr Console

Vultr Console is a noVNC terminal that provides direct console access to instances. You can access the instance terminal, run commands, install applications and manage processes using the Vultr Console. In addition, Vultr Console supports multiple tools to enable clipboard sharing, virtual keyboard, and special commands such as Ctrl Alt Del.

Follow this guide to connect to a Vultr Bare Metal instance using the Vultr Console.

Allow pop-ups in your web browser settings to enable access to the Vultr Console.

  1. Open the Vultr Customer Portal.

  2. Navigate to Products and click Compute.

  3. Click your target Bare Metal instance to open its management page.

  4. Note the default credentials within the Overview tab and copy the user password to your clipboard.

  5. Find and click View Console on the top-right navigation menu to open the Vultr console.

  6. Enter your default username and press Enter when prompted.

  7. Find and click Send Clipboard on the list of control bar options to paste your instance password in the Vultr Console session.

  8. Press Enter to log in to the instance.
