Enable IPv6 and set reverse DNS on a Vultr Cloud GPU instance; Terraform only toggles IPv6 at creation.
IPv6 is available, but Vultr does not assign a public IPv6 address to a Vultr Cloud GPU instance unless you enable it during instance configuration. You can manage the IPv6 address information on an instance and enable reverse DNS on the public networking interface.
Follow this guide to manage the IPv6 information on a Vultr Cloud GPU instance using the Vultr Console, API, CLI, or Terraform.
Navigate to Compute and click Instances.
Click your target Cloud GPU instance to open its management page.
Navigate to the Settings tab.
Click IPv6 on the left navigation menu.
Click Assign IPv6 Network to assign a new subnet to the instance.
Click Assign IPv6 Network Address in the confirmation prompt to assign the IPv6 network and reboot the instance.
Find the Reverse DNS section, enter your IPv6 address in the IP field, and enter a domain in the Reverse DNS field.
Click Add to enable reverse DNS on the IPv6 address.
