Load Balancers rely on network-edge DDoS protection with optional enhanced protection available for high-risk workloads.
Vultr Load Balancers do not provide DDoS protection by themselves. Instead, protection is enforced at the network edge across Vultr’s infrastructure. For workloads that require additional safeguards, Vultr offers optional DDoS Protection on eligible Compute plans. When enabled, this service mitigates malicious traffic before it reaches your load balancer or backend instances, helping ensure availability during volumetric or targeted attacks.
