Introduction

After you've deployed a load balancer, you'll see it in your customer portal on the Load Balancer page. To manage it, click the More menu (three dots on the right), then click Manage to open the Overview tab.

Overview

Click the Overview tab to display the linked instances and current status.

  • To add a linked instance, click the Add Instance button.
  • To remove a linked instance, click the Detach Instance icon to the right of the linked instance name.
  • You can jump to an instance's detail page by clicking the instance name.

Click the Configuration tab and then the Load Balancer left-hand menu. In this section, you can:

Configuration - Forwarding Rules

Click the Configuration tab and the Forwarding Rules left-hand menu. In this section, you can add and delete forwarding rules.

  • Click Add another rule to add a new rule.
  • Click the trashcan icon to the right of each rule to delete it.
  • You can create a maximum of 15 forwarding rules.
  • Do not use the port range 65300 through 65310 because these ports are used internally by the Load Balancer.

Configuration - Health Checks

Click the Configuration tab and then the Health Checks left-hand menu. In this section, you can define health checks, which verify that your instances are healthy and reachable. If an instance fails the health check, the load balancer cuts traffic to that instance. See the feature reference for full details.

Click the Configuration tab and then the Networking left-hand menu. In this section, you can add an SSL certificate if you need to terminate your SSL sessions on the load balancer. See the feature reference to learn how to install an SSL certificate.

Click the Metrics tab to display usage charts for the past day, week, and month.
