How to Connect to a Vultr Cloud Compute Instance Using the Vultr Console

The instance console is a noVNC terminal in the Vultr Console that provides direct access to an instance. You can run commands, install applications, and manage processes through the instance console. Additionally, it offers multiple features such as clipboard sharing, a virtual keyboard, and special commands, including Ctrl + Alt + Del, to manage an instance.

Follow this guide to connect to a Vultr Cloud Compute instance using the Vultr Console.

1. Open your instance's management page.
2. Find the default credentials in the Overview tab and copy the user password to your clipboard.
3. Click the View Console icon in the top-right corner of the management page to open the instance console.
4. Enter your default username and press Enter when prompted.
5. Click the floating noVNC menu to reveal the console's control bar.
6. Find and click Clipboard in the list of control bar options.
7. Paste your user password into the Clipboard field and click Paste to apply the clipboard contents into your console session.
8. Click Clipboard again to hide the pop-up dialog.
9. Click the instance console and press Enter to log in to the instance.
