Updates the cloud-init initialization script for a specified bare metal server instance.

Sets or updates the user data (cloud-init or startup script content) for a specified bare metal server instance, allowing custom configuration scripts to run on the server.

Usage

CONSOLE

$ vultr-cli bare-metal user-data set <Bare Metal ID> [flags]

Examples

CONSOLE
# Full example
$ vultr-cli bare-metal user-data set <bareMetalID> --text='!#/bin/sh echo "hello, world!"'

Or with a file instead:

$ vultr-cli bare-metal user-data set <bareMetalID> --file="/home/me/user_data.txt"
