Learn how to disable SCIM for a Vultr organization using the Vultr Console or the Vultr API, stopping automated user and group provisioning immediately.
Disabling SCIM for your organization removes the ability to manage users and groups through SCIM endpoints. Since SCIM in an organization is used for identity and group management, disabling it prevents creating, listing, updating, or retrieving users and groups via SCIM.
When you disable SCIM, it does not remove any users, groups or affect any of the existing identities. It only prevents you from managing these identities using SCIM. All current user accounts, groups and their permissions remain unchanged. Once SCIM is disabled, the records that SCIM managed become editable in the Vultr Console again, because the identity-provider lock lifts.
Follow the steps below to disable SCIM for your organization using the Vultr Console or the Vultr API.
Log in to the Vultr Console.
Click the organization name in the top navigation bar.
Click Manage Organization.
Click Federated Identity under Identity and Access Management in the left sidebar.
Under System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM), click Disable.
The SCIM Status changes to Disabled, and the SCIM Base URL and SCIM Token fields no longer appear on the card.
