Learn how to enable SCIM for a Vultr organization using the Vultr Console or the Vultr API, generating a SCIM token for your external identity provider.
System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) is an open standard that automates the provisioning, management, and deprovisioning of user identities and groups across applications and services. Enabling SCIM for your organization allows you to programmatically create, retrieve, and update users and groups through standardized REST API endpoints.
Only a root user can enable SCIM for an organization.
Follow the steps below to enable SCIM for your organization using the Vultr Console or the Vultr API.
Log in to the Vultr Console.
Click the organization name in the top navigation bar.
Click Manage Organization.
Click Federated Identity under Identity and Access Management in the left sidebar.
Under System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM), click Enable.
The SCIM Status changes to Enabled, and the card displays the SCIM Base URL and a generated SCIM Token.
