Attach extra public IPv4 addresses to a Vultr Cloud Compute instance for IP forwarding and routing.
Vultr assigns a public IPv4 address to the instance at deployment unless you disable it. You can attach multiple IPv4 addresses to the instance to enable external network connections. You can also use additional addresses for tasks such as IP forwarding, static routing, and dynamic routing.
Follow this guide to add IPv4 addresses to a Vultr Cloud Compute instance using the Vultr Console, API, or CLI.
Navigate to Compute and click Instances.
Click your target Vultr Cloud Compute instance to open its management page.
Navigate to the Settings tab.
Click IPv4 on the left navigation menu to view the instance's public IPv4 network information.
Click Add Another IPv4 Address to attach an additional public IP address to the instance.
Select Yes, add and restart this server in the confirmation prompt and click Add IPv4 Address to attach the new public IP address and restart the instance.
Click the default IPv4 reverse DNS value and replace it with a custom value.
Click the Update Reverse DNS icon to enable reverse DNS on the instance.
