Enable scheduled full backups of a Vultr Cloud GPU instance with set intervals and retention policies.

Automatic backups create full backups of your instance data and file system on a set schedule, which you can use to recover the instance after unexpected failures. Automatic backups use schedule intervals and retention policies to keep backups of your instance in your Vultr account.

Follow this guide to enable automatic backups on a Vultr Cloud GPU instance using the Vultr Console, API, CLI, or Terraform.

Note

Cloud GPU plans that boot from Block Storage do not support automatic backups.

Navigate to Compute and click Instances.
Click your target Cloud GPU instance to open its management page.
Navigate to the Backups tab.
Click Enable Backups to turn on automatic backups.
Click Enable Backups in the confirmation prompt to enable automatic backups.
Click the Schedule backups drop-down to choose a backup schedule.
Click Update to create automatic backups based on your selection.
