Change the startup script on a Vultr Cloud GPU instance, which wipes the file system of an active instance.

Startup scripts enable you to run custom commands to automate configuration during operating system installation. Changing the startup script on an active instance wipes the file system and reinstalls the default operating system.

Follow this guide to change the startup script on a Vultr Cloud GPU instance using the Vultr Console or Terraform.

Navigate to Compute and click Instances.
Click your target Cloud GPU instance to open its management page.
Navigate to the Settings tab.
Find and click Change Startup Script on the left navigation menu.
Select your target startup script, or select None to remove the existing startup script.
Click Change Startup Script.
Select Yes, change the startup-script on this server in the confirmation prompt and click Change Startup Script to apply the new script.
