How to Update a Vultr Kubernetes Engine Cluster

Rename a Vultr Kubernetes Engine cluster via Console, API, CLI, or Terraform. Workloads stay untouched.

Updating a Vultr Kubernetes Engine (VKE) cluster changes its label without affecting workloads, node pools, or linked resources. Clear labels help you identify and organize multiple clusters in your Vultr account.

Follow this guide to update a Vultr Kubernetes Engine cluster using the Vultr Console, API, CLI, or Terraform.

Navigate to Compute and click Kubernetes.
Click the target cluster to open its management page.
On the Overview tab, click the current label next to Label.
Enter the new label. The label can contain only alphanumeric characters with dash (-) separators.
Click the check mark icon to save the label, or click the x icon to cancel the change.
Verify that the new label appears next to Label and in the Manage Cluster page title.
