Which ISO Files Does Vultr Support Apart From Custom ISO?

Vultr offers a library of prebuilt ISO images available through the Customer Portal in addition to supporting custom ISO uploads.

In addition to uploading your own Custom ISOs, Vultr provides a library of prebuilt ISO images that are available directly from the Vultr Customer Portal. These ISO images can be mounted to your Vultr Optimized or Cloud Compute instances during provisioning or attached to existing instances for recovery and maintenance tasks.

The Vultr ISO library currently includes:

  • Finnix: A small, self-contained Linux distribution designed for system rescue and recovery.
  • GParted: A partition editor for creating, resizing, and managing disk partitions.
  • Hiren’s BootCD PE: A preinstallation environment with diagnostic and recovery tools.
  • SystemRescue: A Linux-based system rescue toolkit with utilities for troubleshooting and repairing systems.

These built-in ISOs are useful for tasks such as disk management, system recovery, and troubleshooting without the need to upload your own images.
