Can I Delete a Vultr Sub-Account?

Updated on 15 September, 2025

Explains that Vultr Sub-Accounts cannot be deleted directly but can be detached from Parent Accounts through a support request.

Vultr Sub-Accounts cannot be deleted directly from the Vultr Customer Portal. However, you can detach a Sub-Account from the Parent Account by submitting a support request.

Detach a Sub-Account

You can remove a Sub-Account’s association with the Parent Account, while preserving the Sub-Account as an independent Vultr profile. Use the steps below to request detachment.

  1. Open a support ticket from the Parent Account.
  2. Include the Sub-Account’s email address and Account ID in your request.
Warning
Detaching a Sub-Account does not delete the account, it remains a standalone Vultr profile.

Permanently Delete a Sub-Account

To completely remove a Sub-Account from Vultr, the deletion request must come from that Sub-Account. Follow the steps below to initiate account deactivation.

  1. Log in to the Sub-Account directly.
  2. Submit a service deactivation request by raising a support ticket.

Once processed, Vultr will begin the account deactivation workflow for the Sub-Account.
