What Is a Parent Account in the Context of Vultr Sub-Accounts?

Updated on 15 September, 2025

A primary Vultr account that manages billing and administration for multiple linked Sub-Accounts under a consolidated hierarchy.

The Parent Account is your primary Vultr account used to manage and consolidate billing for multiple linked Sub-Accounts. When the Parent/Child structure is enabled, all charges generated by Sub-Accounts are rolled up and invoiced through the Parent Account at the end of each billing cycle.

The Parent Account holds the main payment method, controls billing visibility, and is responsible for the financial oversight of all associated Sub-Accounts. This setup allows organizations to maintain isolated infrastructure per Sub-Account while simplifying centralized billing and account ownership.
