Can I Restrict Sub-Accounts to Specific Budget Caps per Billing Cycle?

How to implement budget restrictions for Sub-Accounts through Vultr Support rather than directly from the Parent Account


You cannot directly set billing limits or budget caps for Sub-Accounts from the Parent Account. However, Vultr Support can assist with configuring budget-based restrictions for individual Sub-Accounts.

To request a billing quota for a Sub-Account:

  1. Open a support ticket from your Parent Account.
  2. Provide the Sub-Account’s email address or Account ID.
  3. Specify the desired budget cap or quota amount and intended billing cycle.

Budget caps are enforced manually by the Vultr Support team and may not prevent real-time usage beyond the defined quota. Always monitor Sub-Account usage from your Parent Account for accurate oversight.
