A content delivery method where static assets are uploaded directly to Vultr's global CDN storage network rather than being pulled from an origin server.
A Vultr CDN Push Zone is designed for distributing large static assets by uploading them directly to Vultr’s CDN storage. Instead of fetching files from your origin server, the CDN stores and replicates these assets across its global network of edge locations.
This is particularly effective for content such as images, videos, software packages, or game installers that do not change frequently. Once uploaded, files are cached at multiple points of presence (POPs) worldwide, ensuring that users download content from the edge location closest to them. By offloading large file delivery to the CDN, Push Zones reduce strain on your origin server, lower bandwidth costs, and provide consistent, high-speed delivery to a global audience.
For detailed configuration and management of Push Zones, see the official Vultr CDN Push Zone Documentation.
