Yes, both Vultr Managed MySQL and PostgreSQL databases are automatically backed up to support disaster recovery. Depending on your node plan, you also have access to user-initiated recovery, forking, and point-in-time restoration to protect your data against accidental loss or failures. These options can be accessed from the Actions menu within the Overview tab of your cluster’s management page in the Vultr Customer Portal.
The available point-in-time recovery duration varies by plan:
Plan | Point-in-Time Recovery Duration |
---|---|
Premium | 30 days |
Business | 14 days |
Startup | 2 days |
Hobbyist | None |
You can also configure a custom backup schedule by navigating to the Settings tab and selecting Backups & Upgrades. Setting a custom schedule changes the backup frequency from every 12 hours to once daily.
