After provisioning or modifying a Vultr Managed Database cluster, you may see the following statuses:

  • Rebuilding – The cluster is being set up for the first time or recreated due to maintenance or other internal operations. During this state, the cluster is not yet fully operational.
  • Rebalancing – The cluster is redistributing data or applying configuration changes, such as upgrading the plan or changing the cluster location.
  • Running – The cluster is fully operational and available for connections.

Once a Rebalancing or Rebuilding operation completes, the cluster transitions to Running. If a cluster remains in Rebalancing or Rebuilding for an unusually long period, contact Vultr Support for assistance.
