Is My Vultr Managed Valkey Database Backed Up?

Updated on 15 September, 2025

Managed Valkey databases include automated backups for disaster recovery with options available in the clusters Overview tab.

Yes, Vultr Managed Valkey databases include automated backups to support disaster recovery. You can use these backups in the following ways, accessible from the cluster’s Overview tab under the Actions section:

  • Restore From Backup: Overwrites the current cluster’s data with the backup. It is useful for recovering from data loss or corruption.

  • Fork Database Cluster: Creates a new cluster based on the backup without modifying the existing cluster. It is useful for testing, development, or cloning environments.

When restoring or forking, you can choose from the available periodic backups.

Note
Backups for Managed Databases for Caching do not support point-in-time recovery.
