When you upgrade a server to a higher compute plan during a billing cycle, Vultr bills each configuration separately based on the time it was active.
Each plan is charged at its respective hourly rate for the duration it was used. As a result, your invoice may show multiple line items corresponding to different plan sizes. Although these line items may collectively display more than 672 hours, the total billed time will never exceed the actual number of hours in the calendar month.
This ensures accurate and fair prorated billing during mid-cycle upgrades.
