Guide for migrating Vultr Compute Instances between datacenter regions using snapshots
To migrate your Vultr Compute Instance to a different datacenter region, you need to create a snapshot of your instance and restore that snapshot when deploying a new instance in the target region. When restoring the snapshot, Vultr automatically transfers it between regions such as from DEL to ATL during the deployment process.
Snapshots are full disk images that capture your instance's data and configuration at the time of creation.
